Greetings, this is astrologer Pam Young-Hans and here is my North Point Journal, your guide to planetary activity for the week of October 5th to 11th, 2026.
We now emerge somewhat disheveled, but hopefully wiser, from the emotional intensity of the Mercury-Mars-Pluto T-square that has dominated the first few days of October.
But we are far from done with this deep dive into the feeling realms. Venus is now retrograde in watery Scorpio, dredging up relationship and financial matters that require a closer examination and an honest re-evaluation.
Conversations are especially revelatory, and we could become obsessed with a developing new story early this week, as Mercury and Venus conjoin in Scorpio.
And yet, since Venus is retrograde, and Mercury is already in its pre-retrograde shadow, information that surfaces now represents only the first chapter of a longer story, one that will continue to unfold over the next two months.
Truths that are revealed this week could trigger deep anger and potentially dramatic responses, with Venus still within range of its square to Pluto and being exactly square Mars next weekend.
We can expect even more to be exposed regarding the abuse of, and crimes toward, women under this influence.
Since Venus also represents our handling of monies, more revelations regarding corruption, market manipulations, and shady financial dealings are likely to come forward as well.
The conjunction of the Sun and Moon at 17 degrees, 21 minutes of Libra next weekend, marks the beginning of a new lunar cycle, one that focuses our attention on either personal or business partnerships, themes of justice and fairness, and contracts or other legal matters.
The new moon occurs at 8.49 a.m. Pacific Daylight Time, on Saturday, October 10th.
There is a serious tone to this new moon, given that the luminaries are opposite Saturn.
Evidence of the great unraveling is hard to deny.
At the same time, we could experience frustration and an acute awareness that the wheels of justice turn slowly.
The reality of a situation is likely to become even more apparent as the light of the moon grows in the days that follow the lunation.
Unsettling news or unexpected developments are possible with the new moon and hard aspect to Uranus.
At the same time, a subtle sextile to Jupiter can help us find the silver lining.
Here are my brief interpretations of this week's most important aspects day by day. There are no major aspects exact on Monday.
Tuesday is the day that Mercury is conjunct retrograde Venus. Honest conversations are possible today and secrets may be revealed. We could suspect, however, that what we learn now is only the tip of the iceberg.
On Wednesday, Mars is sextile Uranus. This aspect supports creative self-expression. And doing something simply for the fun of it. It could also inspire us to take new risks or assert our independence.
There are no major aspects exact on Thursday.
On Friday, Mercury is quincunct Saturn. Communications could be frustrating today. Efforts to learn the truth may be rejected or restricted.
On Saturday, the new lunar cycle begins at 8.49 a.m. Pacific Daylight Time, when the sun and moon align at 17 degrees, 21 minutes of Libra.
And Saturday is the day that retrograde Venus is exactly square Mars. Feelings are expressed dramatically and stubbornly today. We may be especially aware of conflicts between gender-based perspectives, as well as the realities of violence against women.
On Sunday, the Sunday Square Series. This aspect represents an inner conflict between taking care of oneself and fulfilling the needs of loved ones.
If your birthday is this week, throughout this year you are being called to find a new balance between self and other, between your desire for relationship and your need to be self-reliant.
To facilitate this process, your life may present you with extra work responsibilities that demand your attention, with important relationship issues that require your presence, or possibly both.
The challenge is to be in integrity with yourself, to say yes when you truly mean it, and to say no when your gut is telling you otherwise.
This is Astrologer Pam Younghans wishing you an insightful week.
Thank you for being with me on this journey.
Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.
