Welcome... Our InnerSelf welcomes your inner self.
This week we focus on letting go of the past. Sometimes that is done by first reconnecting with painful memories ("How To Get in Touch with Childhood, Pre-Natal, and Past Life Memories") and/or rewriting them ("Creating 'Newmories' from Painful or Traumatic Memories"), and at other times, simply by "Closing Cycles, Shutting Doors, Ending Chapters – Leave In The Past The Moments Of Life That Have Finished".
We also have the option of letting go of the past by living fully in this moment, and Alan Watts speaks of this in "The Great Liberation: Abandoning Yourself To Your Experience".
And we also have numerous articles on a variety of topics dealing with health, aging, relationships, and well-being in general (personal, economic, and planetary). Scroll down below for the information and links to this week's new articles.
Wishing you enjoyable insightful reading, and of course a wonder-full, joy-full, and loving week.

Closing Cycles, Shutting Doors, Ending Chapters – Leave In The Past The Moments Of Life That Have Finished
Written by Paulo Coelho
Of course things don’t always happen they way we wish they would. There are moments in which we feel we are seeking something that is not meant for us, knocking on doors that don’t open, waiting for miracles that don’t manifest themselves. Fortunately that is the way things are – if everything went the way we wanted...

What I Learned From My Mother: Poverty Is Not A Permanent State
Written by Teresa Mishler
I don’t have children, but I have thought a lot about how growing up in my situation shaped me as an adult. The greatest way that it shaped me is it made me more independent, and strong-willed. I grew up very much on my own. This formed the basis for my creativity and adventurous spirit, because being on my own allowed my mind to go places it wouldn’t have if I was always surrounded by people.

How To Get in Touch with Childhood, Pre-Natal, and Past Life Memories
Written by Anna Comerford
Most of us do not remember our past lives, however it is possible to access some information through a guided past life session. People have different experiences in a past life session. A friend of mine found themselves speaking in a foreign language! Others may have flashbacks or wonder how they knew about something.

The Great Liberation: Abandoning Yourself To Your Experience
Written by Alan Watts
Scientist and philosopher may argue to the end of time, but meanwhile the human soul thirsts, and psychologist, priest, and mystic have the temerity to suggest that there may be ways of approach to the ultimate mysteries other than laboratory observation and pure logic. For while scientist and logician dissect and analyze, the mystic looks for meaning in the whole.
