Welcome... Our InnerSelf welcomes your inner self.
Many things in life get a "bad rap": stress, the left-brain, the right-brain, disease, painful memories... but as with everything, there are always two sides to everything. For example: some stress is natural and beneficial; the left-brain and right-brain both have a role to play; disease is the body's distress signal and can serve as a wake up call. Everything has a purpose.
We may need to ask ourselves: are we "Addicted to Stress?" Perhaps we somehow enjoy the adrenaline rush of the stressful times, or we think that without stress we wouldn't be "proving" that we can handle "it". Or maybe stress makes us feel alive, like the mounting tension at a horse race.
Our task is to discover the higher purpose of each event or person that appears in our life. Challenges are there to help teach us something and perhaps to lead us to discover an inner strength and create a miracle. Joyce Vissell tells us that "Each One Of Us Can Be A Miracle For Someone Else"... and for our own selves, and for the world, as well.
We've acted "small" for a long time... Now it's time to turn the page on that story and start one of empowerment. Mahatma Gandhi is quoted as saying: “The difference between what we do and what we are capable of doing would suffice to solve most of the world’s problems.” Once we learn "How To Keep Our Power When Making Big Decisions", we will be guided to taking actions that will lead us to where we desire to be: living a life of joy, love, peace, and health (for all).
An important task we all face, if we want to become whole and happy, is "Attaining Balance Between The Two Halves Of The Brain". We also need to face the "facts of our current planetary challenges" and do something about them. Read "Holy Dog, It's "Hot As Spain!"" for some information and insights. We are not powerless, we need to take action and realize that "It's Time To Awaken The Higher Brain".
The stars always align for us -- whether we are aware of it or not -- and Sarah Varcas shares the planetary energies of August in "Radical Remembrance: Integrate, Transmute, and Progress".
Scroll down for the links to our featured articles as well as the numerous additional articles for the week.
Wishing you enjoyable insightful reading, and of course a wonder-full, joy-full, and loving week and a "progressive" month of August.

It's Time To Awaken The Higher Brain
Written by Michael Cotton, D.C.
The old lower reptilian brain is designed to keep you from being eaten by a tiger. The higher brain does the opposite, it turns on your body’s ability to rejuvenate and feel a sense of inner calm and meaning. That feeling of well-being is meant to be your natural state.
