MARS-PLUTO EFFECT: The contrast and duality that are part of this physical reality are strongly highlighted as we navigate the intense energies of the Mars-Pluto opposition. Although the aspect is exact to the degree on November 3, its influence will provide a dramatic and colorful backdrop for our journey throughout the month.
We may experience what we usually consider to be "ascension symptoms" as we work with Mars-Pluto. As the Psychotherapist Planet, Pluto reveals unconscious fears and destructive behavioral patterns so that they can be seen and transmuted. The dwarf planet can also initiate a process of detoxification, on both physical and emotional levels.
Mars represents how vital energy moves through our physical bodies, as well as how we are motivated to take action and assert ourselves. Hard aspects involving Mars can manifest as either restlessness or fatigue. Emotionally, we might feel "on edge" and be easily irritated or angered.
PHYSICAL SYMPTOMS: Symptoms related to the Mars-Pluto opposition will vary from person to person. But, with Mars in Cancer, which rules the stomach and digestion, some may experience appetite changes or discomfort associated with eating. Other organs in the torso area could be affected, such as the liver or gall bladder, or the lower lungs. Due to the liver activation, symptoms can include blurry vision and eye irritation.
With Pluto in Capricorn, which rules the skeletal and circulatory systems, some may be dealing with bone fractures, joint problems, or issues related to blood circulation. Other full-body systems, such as the skin and connective tissues, could be symptomatic as well.
Many of these symptoms are the result of toxins being released from where they have been stored in the physical, emotional, mental, or etheric body. If you've ever facilitated a detox process for yourself, you know that it is usually physically and emotionally depleting and can even affect mental clarity. While the Mars-Pluto opposition is in effect, we may not have as much energy or stamina as we'd like and could feel very fatigued at times. These symptoms are likely to be strongest for those whose natal astrology charts are being highly impacted by this Mars-Pluto energy.
Please be extremely aware of your body's needs now and throughout this month, and do your best to support it with healthy foods and practices. Extra rest and clear fluids are essential. Of course, if you have any symptoms that concern you, please contact a trusted healthcare provider for support.

NOVEMBER OVERVIEW: While the Mars-Pluto opposition is no doubt the most significant planetary influence this month, other astrological events are also very impactful. Here are some dates to mark on your calendar:
The Full Moon on November 15 occurs when the Moon is at 24°00' Taurus, less than two degrees away from unpredictable Uranus (at 25°17' Taurus). In addition to the heightened emotions we usually experience at a Full Moon, we should be prepared for unexpected, paradigm-shifting insights and events around the time of this lunation.
Also on November 15, Saturn comes to a standstill, ending its five-month retrograde period. With Saturn at full strength, there is a fated quality to any events that occur around this date.
On November 19, Pluto bids a final adieu to Capricorn, finally giving its full attention to Aquarius. Over the next 19 years, as Pluto moves through the eleventh sign, we will see life-changing developments in technology, metaphysics, information sources, and our concepts of community. Space travel and our interactions with other life forms contribute to major shifts for humanity.
Mercury stations retrograde in Sagittarius on November 25. For three weeks, until the Messenger Planet goes direct on December 15, we are drawn inward to reflect on the meaning of life, to review our beliefs and biases, and to more fully understand the guiding principles of our lives.
A second New Moon of the calendar month will happen on November 30. The lunation, which occurs at 09°32' Sagittarius, is square Saturn in Pisces and thus has some important spiritual lessons to teach us. Although new activities may be delayed due to Saturn's influence, with the New Moon also trine Mars in Leo, we are encouraged to open our hearts and to take a leap of faith.

THIS WEEK'S ASPECTS: Here are my brief interpretations of this week's most important planetary aspects, day by day:
Monday
Sun sesquiquadrate Neptune, Sun trine Saturn: While we may be confused about who to trust or are feeling somewhat disillusioned today, we can rely on our spiritual tools and our ethical backbone to guide us in our decisions.
Tuesday
No major aspects are exact today.
Wednesday
Mercury sesquiquadrate Chiron, Mercury trine North Node: Information sources may be unreliable now. Nonetheless, some are eager to share their beliefs and to promote their view of reality.
Thursday
Venus trine Eris, Venus quincunx Uranus: An assertive, independent streak is strong, requiring that we adjust our expectations of others. A feeling of estrangement is possible.
Moon conjunct Pluto 2:37 p.m. PST, Moon opposite Mars 5:15 p.m. PST: I don't usually include the Moon's aspects in this Journal, since they are of relatively short duration. But I want to highlight today's lunar events, since Luna is in hard aspect to Mars and Pluto. Developments today could reveal the longer-term consequences of the Mars-Pluto opposition.
Friday
No major aspects are exact today.
Saturday
Venus square Neptune: Uncertainty is possible in relationship or financial matters. We may either not be seeing reality clearly or be experiencing disillusionment in something we once believed in.
Mercury sesquiquadrate Eris: People may be irritable and argumentative today. Differences in beliefs can disrupt communications.
Sunday
No major aspects are exact today.
